The scene is fully composed and materialized in Blender. The product is from Grabcad and needed some adjustments in Fusion360. The box has been modeled in Fusion 360.
Project Overview: Dyson Hair Dryer – 3D Visualization
Purpose and Objectives
The project aimed to create an attractive and aesthetically pleasing 3D presentation of a Dyson hair dryer, focusing on highlighting the product as a symbol of luxury through sleek design and high-quality materials.
This is my moodboard for the project.
Selection of Object and Initial Steps
I chose an existing model from GrabCAD to quickly adapt and enhance the design. Initial adjustments and preparations were made in Fusion360.
Technical Details and Tools
I used Fusion360 for initial adjustments and Blender for advanced material assignment and visualization. Materials were created using a combination of simple nodes in Blender and a custom-made material in Substance Designer for the box.
Challenges and Solutions
The major challenge was maintaining engagement throughout the video presentation and creating effective lighting. Using a Blender add-on (place reflection) helped to direct the light optimally to enhance the product’s shape and material quality.
Feedback and Improvements
After receiving feedback on the video dynamics and certain movements, improvements were made to minimize shakes and enhance the visual storytelling.
Reflections and Lessons Learned
The project provided valuable insights into handling CAD models and good material settings in Blender, as well as personal reflections on effective work methods under time constraints.
